Assistant Project Manager – Commercial Construction
Position Overview
We are seeking an organized and proactive Assistant Project Manager to support our team in overseeing commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist in project planning, management, and execution, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. Projects being Ambient and Cold Storage warehouses and tenant finishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning and scheduling project timelines and milestones.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to ensure project specifications are met.
- Monitor project progress and report on any issues or delays to the Project Manager.
- Help prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and procurement.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Assist in budgeting and cost management activities to ensure project financials are accurate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in construction management or as an Assistant Project Manager.
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes and terminology.
- Familiarity with project management software such as Procore is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
