This is site-based position in Tampa, Florida
POSITION SUMMARY:
Individual will manage a Distribution OH/UG Hardening Program to ensure all phases of approved projects are completed efficiently and within scope, on schedule and within budget. This role requires strong Customer relationship and interface skills. The PM also works closely with Customer Management and BHI personnel in Operations, Construction, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Purchasing and the PMO. Primary duties will include overall responsibility for the management of all aspects of the program, ensuring that all aspects of the projects are documented and completed in accordance with company policies and all regulations and laws.
ACCOUNTABILITIES – PRIMARY DUTIES:
Project Manager Level
• Reports to the Vice President of Operations, Southeast Region.
• Assigned program is multi-discipline in nature, multi stakeholder involvement and financial risk exposure profile requiring management reporting communications.
• Responsible to take the necessary action to see that the projects are completed efficiently, on time and within the established budgets.
• Integrates and manages a cross functional project team to develop appropriate project roles and responsibilities.
• Driving work products by coordinating and working with Operations Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverables.
• Manages the team’s development of a comprehensive project plan, schedule, communications plan and change control methodology.
• Coordinates the development of a detailed project budget and cash flow.
• Manages the reporting of project scope, budgets, schedules, and progress.
• Facilitates daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with internal BHI Team and Customer Execution Team.
• Manages customer driven accrual and reporting process.
• Manages execution of the project plan and change control management process.
• Manages project close out in a timely manner to support business goals.
• Provides clear, concise, and comprehensive reports for management.
• Provides guidance to project support associates.
Job Requirements
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management (preferred);
• Master’s degree and Project Management class work are desirable.
Experience
• > (5) years of related experience with Project Management is highly desired.
• > (5) years prior experience in OH and UG distribution and storm hardening
Knowledge/Skill
• Demonstrated ability to investigate and solve problems, analyze data, write reports, and make presentations.
• Possesses the ability to cope with deadlines, manage time, set priorities, define roles and responsibilities, and make decisions.
• The ability to schedule, plan and manage complex distribution program.
• Self-starter with strong communication skills, including listening, speaking, and writing skills.
• Individual leadership abilities, planning skills, decisiveness, and customer focus.
• Knowledge of Project Management principles and practices.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to prepare construction schedules in Primavera highly desired.
• Excellent leadership, teambuilding, coaching, problem solving, interpersonal and motivational skills required.
This position requires 90% field presence.
Candidate is not required to relocate.
