Full Job Description
Looking for qualified individual for a 55+, 300 site, RV Park in Zephyrhills, Florida. The property has well-maintained grounds, a rec hall, swimming pool, shuffleboard courts and horseshoe pits.
Self-motivated groundskeeper/custodian would be responsible for grounds and common areas of the park with the ability to assist with some minor maintenance tasks and upkeep of rental homes. You will be on call 24/7 for emergencies.
Job Duties:
– Ensure community grounds and common areas are presentable at all times
– Complete lawn duties include mowing, tree trimming, weed pulling, planting flowers, and performing other lawn care type services as necessary
– Pick up trash from grounds and common areas
– Clean and disinfect community bathrooms, rec hall, and other common areas
– Pressure wash and paint common areas and grounds
– Maintain community pool, test chemical levels, disinfect pool deck and furniture, etc.
– Assist RVers in parking their rigs and hooking up to water/sewer/electric as needed
– Monitor and assist with water testing and maintenance for lift station and sewer facility
– Complete minor repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.) of rental homes and common area buildings and facilities as needed
– Provide excellent customer service to guests in park
– Assist other maintenance personnel at properties in Tampa on an as-needed basis
Requirements:
– At least two years hands-on general grounds maintenance experience using zero-turn mowers, weed-eaters, pressure washers, cleaning etc.
– Basic knowledge of maintenance – such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc. – with the desire to learn more
– Ability to work outside in hot conditions and climb ladders – most of the job will be outdoors
– Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle – you may need to use your vehicle for maintenance tasks
– Must be able to lift 50 pounds
– Ability to work independently as well as on a team
– Availability to work during non-business hours for emergency calls
– Drug free workplace, background check required
