Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail oriented Interior Interior Design Assistant to work alongside Interior Designers to plan and produce interior spaces. You will also aid the Interior Designers by conducting research, preparing sketches and mood boards and collecting materials to use in interior spaces. Collaborate closely with the Interior Designers to review design options and choose the best one to suit the client’s preferences. You will also perform a variety of duties based on the needs of the primary designer in planning and implementing their designs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Interior Designers to provide general support
- Develop design concepts that align with client expectations, utilizing tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and .
- Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Aid in selecting appropriate materials, furnishings, lighting, and color schemes that enhance the overall design.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Accompany Interior Designers on site visits to assess progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in interior design.
Skills
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop and Illustrator), AutoCAD, Revit, and .
- Strong understanding of color theory and its application in interior design.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience in lighting sales and collaboration sales is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork.
- Ability to interpret contracts and manage vendor relationships efficiently.
- A keen eye for detail with a passion for creating functional yet beautiful spaces.
