Small, full service, client focused, law firm is seeking an legal assistant / secretary to work in their Pinellas Park office. This position requires a combination of legal administrative/substantive support for paralegal and attorney staff members in a growing transactional real estate practice.

Candidates should have general legal office related experience preferably with transactional legal practice, client intake, scheduling and administrative tasks.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Possess a high degree of organization and scheduling skills with the ability to manage administrative and logistical aspects of projects independently.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including extensive knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience working with law firm case management and billing software preferred.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Experience providing administrative support to multiple attorneys, with a sustained record of high-quality work from inception to resolution, including, but not limited to, the ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.
  • Working with experienced paralegals with the preparation of legal documents.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and organizing meetings.

REQUIRMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a law firm environment.
  • 3+ years of law firm experience preferred.
  • Real Estate (transactional) experience required/litigation experience desired.
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, and communication skills.
  • Flexible attitude and the ability to deal well with changing assignments and priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Florida E-Filing System, JAWS, and Electronic Public Record Recording.

This is an in-person position and remote candidates will not be considered.

Core work hours are from ( 8:30am – 5:00pm)
