Controller
Fast growing firm has an opening for a Controller. The company is entrepreneurial, fast paced and looking for a qualified professional to help build the financial operations and manage its growth. The Controller will be responsible for all day to day accounting functions, financial reporting, cash flow management, inventory, project costing, cost control, budgeting, benefits administration and related accounting activities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversee and review accounts payable, payroll, project billing, cash receipts and other accounting operations
· Complete month end close (account reconciliations) and produce timely and accurate financial reports for management
· Work with project management team to ensure projects are monitored and billed in a timely manner
· Prepare detailed budget, cash flow projection to ensure business performance
· Establish financial and accounting process, procedures and policies for adequate internal controls and efficiency
· Maintain accounting records on an accrual basis
· Manage banking relations and other outsourced functions
· Administer 401(k) and health insurance plans
· Provide financial analyses including capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
· Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
· Improvement and other projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
· B.S. or B.A. in accounting with at least 5 years of progressive experience and 3+ years as Controller
· Experience in the architecture/engineering industry
· Strong computer skills and technical capabilities
· Detailed oriented, organized and solid multi-task ability
· Process good people skills and a team player
· Excellent verbal and speaking communication skills
