The firm seeks a full-time associate attorney to join our practice. The candidate must be a member in good standing of the Florida Bar. Preference will be given to someone with at least one year of experience who exhibits ambition and a desire for permanency. While we encourage an in-office presence, remote work is available.
The attorney will perform a broad range of tasks, including:
- Draft pleadings, motion practice, appellate briefs
- Attend hearings
- Research and analyze complex issues in federal and state court
- Conduct depositions
- Draft discovery
- Draft responses to discovery
- Gather and organize documents and evidence
- Communicate with opposing counsel
- Communicate with clients
- Interview clients and witnesses
- Attend mediations
- Negotiate and settle claims
- Supervise staff
- Attend jury and non-jury trials – first or second chair depending upon client expectations, nature of claim, and attorney experience
