We are seeking a full time Paralegal for our Firm headquarters in South Tampa. This position will work directly with our team of attorneys on both litigation and assessment recovery matters. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoy working with a small team. This individual will embrace technology, and work closely with the technology team on existing automation systems and processes and identify new ways to gain even more efficiencies. Responsibilities:
- Prepare routine or complex legal documents for attorney review
- Draft pleadings, motions, affidavits, answers, notices, and other legal documents
- Maintain correspondence with opposing parties regarding cases and other inquiries
- File documents with court according to judge specific procedure
- Set hearings and assist in hearing preparation
- Review and organize case materials
- Utilize existing files and a variety of other research resources to develop information for pending cases
- Work with the technology department to enhance current automation processes to enhance overall efficiency
Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of paralegal experience required
- Excellent communication and highly organized
- Positive attitude and ability work well with others
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Experience in using legal database software (Clio experience preferred)
- Experience with MS Office, including Microsoft Teams
