Compensation:

$65,000 – $75,000 annually + potential bonuses

Responsibilities:

  • Acquire the appropriate licenses and permits from the corresponding authorities and ensure construction is up to code
  • Work with general contractors, critical subcontractors, and external vendors to negotiate profitable contracts
  • Supervise general contractors and laborers and provide direction when needed to ensure the job is high quality
  • Schedule construction operations and create a construction timeline to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Inform key stakeholders of the status of the project by producing regular progress reports
  • Inspect potential projects and develop a budget and completion timeline
  • Forecast monetary needs for the project and accurately manage the project budget
  • Obtain and approve bids
  • Order project supplies
  • Schedule vendor work to ensure on-time project deadlines
  • Conduct periodic inspections of each project ensuring and directing the highest quality work of all vendors and their laborers
  • Approve payment to vendors
  • Maintain Vendor list and consistently seek out additional vendors or hire employees as needed to complete jobs on time and within budget.
  • Conduct final checklist inspection 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience in construction management
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building permits, blueprints, building codes, construction equipment, material resources, construction methods, and project management principles
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Four-year college degree in engineering, construction management, or other similar fields
  • Excellent time-management, organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Strong communication skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, problem- skills, and time-management skills
  • Previous Property Improvement or Renovations Project Management
  • Previous Hands-on Property Improvement or Renovations Experience
  • Full-time Availability
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. and climb a ladder
