Market Manager -Service Partners

Summary:

The Market Manager is responsible for managing a geographical area comprised of properties (Assets) and networked service providers. The Market Manager will be responsible for overseeing these service providers to ensure work is assigned and completed within timeframe requirements and quality standards. The Market Manager will be responsible for forecasting the volume of service providers required to meet demands, calculating and managing the service providers’ capacity, and assessing service provider performance levels. The Market Manager is further responsible for negotiating pricing, coaching, and providing training to service providers in their region. Finally, the Market Manager will be responsible for networking within the industry to maintain strong business relationships and other industry stakeholders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Interact with service providers to ensure adequate communication regarding work order timeframes, instructions, and performance requirements.
  • Manage Service Provider performance and ensure that quality standards and production goals are consistently achieved
  • Coordinate, assign, and track work progress to service providers for timely completion
  • Support and ensure compliance with Client, Investor, and MCS company standards, policies, and procedures for all Service providers within an assigned territory
  • Assist in the development and communication of service provider guidance, tools, best practices, and training needs
  • Provide detailed analysis of assigned territory for strategic planning around future opportunities. Incumbent should demonstrate a deep understanding of their assigned geographic area
  • Successfully negotiate pricing with new and existing service providers to ensure that they are aligned with current

MCS rates and closely related to the necessary rates in the assigned area

  • Perform service provider audits to ensure providers are following Client, Investor, and MCS company standards, policies, and procedures
  • Review and understand the scope of needed repairs, timeframes, and costs
  • Network, Recruit, and retain local/regional service level providers to provide needed repairs for assets in a timely fashion
  • Research provider capabilities and pricing requirements for new business development opportunities in region.
  • Occasional travel to oversee and assist with asset level repairs, interact with code enforcement officers, and provide client facing support as needed.
  • Identify, research, and effectively communicate any systemic or process issues found; facilitate, communicate, and implement resolutions when appropriate

  • Outstanding Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects requiring prioritization and adherence to deadlines.
  • Effective Critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient to advanced PC Skills including (but not limited to) MS Word, MS Excel, email, internet research and customized database management
  • Must be able to read and/or interpret numbers and letters correctly
  • Must work with numbers to calculate timeframe and evaluate costs and losses
  • Basic knowledge of construction or property maintenance and repairs
  • Strong knowledge of geographic territory and municipalities contained within
  • Clean Driving Record

Education and Experience:

Education: Four -year college degree or equivalent work experience

Experience: 12 months industry experience within the property management, construction or service provider industries. Prior construction/repair project management preferred
