AJX is an established, national real estate investment firm led by a seasoned team of effective, cross-functional professionals, who enjoy what we do and have fun doing it. We are seeking to add a Project Manager to our Tampa, FL team, who will plan and lead a wide range of home rehab/construction (fix/flip) projects from start to finish. Reporting to the National Project Manager, this position is responsible for organizing, overseeing, and optimizing multiple ongoing fix/flip/construction projects inTampa FL and the surrounding area, ensuring they are completed in an effective manner and supporting the company’s dedicated timelines/deadlines and project cost controls. This position will be based in Tampa, FL. Local candidates only please.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee Multiple Projects: Manage multiple simultaneous residential construction and rehabilitation projects within the company’s Fix & Flip division, ensuring quality outcomes and timely delivery.
- Collaborate for Success: Effectively collaborating with engineers, general contractors, trades, and company leadership, etc. to define all project scopes, estimate costs, and align with the company’s profitability goals (at the project level).
- Negotiate Contracts: Effectively negotiate contracts with suppliers and partners to optimize project profitability and efficiency.
- Manage Permits and License Process: Manage all aspects of permitting and licensing for individual projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Schedule Development: Develop and oversee detailed project schedules, coordinating resources and managing complex, cross-functional timelines and deadlines to ensure seamless execution and timely completion of all construction activities. Responsible for planning all local Fix & Flip construction operations, including qualifying, scheduling, and managing resources to ensure all deadlines are met or exceeded.
- Supervise On-Site Teams: Directly oversee trades/laborers, providing clear effective guidance to maintain high-quality workmanship.
- Track and Report Progress: Evaluate project progress and prepare detailed progress reports delivered through the project management platform on a weekly basis.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of construction management experience is a must. Candidates lacking construction management experience will not be considered.
- Superior communication skills (written/oral), with an in-depth understanding and experience in construction and materials/project management principles.
- High degree of familiarity with construction contract and subcontractor documents, negotiation, terms, and conditions.
- Superior project and time management expertise, with a proven ability to coordinate multiple teams across various construction disciplines and manage competing deadlines, consistently delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Highly organized, with exceptional integrity, attention to detail, and a strong sense of urgency. Skilled at thriving under pressure, meeting strict and competing deadlines, and delivering results in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment
- Highly process-driven, continually seeking to optimize all functions and procedures, while providing continuous feedback to the department manager.
- A relentless drive for learning and growth to enhance both personal and business performance; equally committed to being a student and a mentor.
- The ability to work effectively as a cross-functional team player in high-pressure situations, where positive, robust, fact-based collaboration and ideas-sharing is promoted.
- Experience working with REsimpli and Asana is a plus.
- A dedicated team player who demonstrates humility and excels in servant leadership.
- Working knowledge of all Google Applications including Sheets, Docs, Forms, etc.
- Experience working in a KPI/OKR-driven environment.

Pay: Ability to make $150k+ per year via a recoverable draw compensation plan.
