Quality Control Manager – Construction
Position Overview
The Quality Control Manager will oversee and implement quality assurance protocols within construction projects, ensuring compliance with federal standards and regulations. This role is crucial for maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring that all construction work meets the expectations of the clients and regulatory bodies. This role will oversee large multi-million dollar federal government contracting and medical facility projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans for construction projects
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to address quality issues
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to quality control processes
- Train and mentor staff on quality control procedures and best practices
- Ensure that all materials and workmanship meet project specifications and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in quality control within the construction industry
- Certification in Quality Control Management (QCM)
- Familiarity with EM 385 regulations and federal construction standards
- Experience working on projects for USACE, NAVFAC, and VA facilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
