Estimator Needed – Divisions 5, 8, 10 and more. Salary plus incentive.
We are currently seeking a Project Estimator, preferably with experience in Construction and / or Manufacturing as well as glass / glazing / fenestration. Knowledge of Storefront, Doors, Canopies, Sunshades, Awnings, Handrail, Roof Screens, Sheet Metal, Glass, Glazing, etc. is a plus. We will train the right candidate on our product lines. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform detailed material takeoffs from blueprints for architectural metal products listed above and more!
- Participate in product research and design, project submittals, purchasing and project management as required.
- Work with various members of the team as needed to provide product and estimating support.
- Maintain an ongoing library of estimating standards
- Help create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the estimating department and beyond
- Conduct pricing research to ensure product pricing is current and up to date
- Follow estimating processes and expand those processes
Our ideal Estimator candidate will have the following experience:
- Prior estimating experience in a construction and or construction-related industry preferred
- Excellent computer skills are absolutely required
- Strong organization skills are absolutely required
- Strong math skills are a must
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Must be able to calculate square foot
- Must be able to preform very accurate material takeoffs
- Prior experience with bluebeam and or other estimating software is a plus
- Prior experience with autocad and or project management is a plus but not required.
