Summary:
To support budgeting, funding, programming, and resource allocation decisions by providing districtwide financial data analytics, while preserving data accuracy across systems and reports. To ensure compliance with state requirements (FEFP/FTE reporting), minimize financial risks, and deliver actionable insights to the CFO and finance teams.

Core Technical Skills
- Data Analysis & Visualization
- Proficiency in tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
- Ability to create dashboards (e.g., enrollment, FTE/FEFP)
- Strong understanding of data modeling and data integrity
- Programming & Querying
- SQL for querying financial and HR databases
- Python or R for advanced analytics (e.g., trend analysis, forecasting)
- Financial Systems Knowledge
- Familiarity with ERP and SIS systems (e.g., Infor, Focus)
- Understanding of payroll, budgeting, and accounting systems
- Experience with salary projections, budget vs. actuals, and resource allocation
- Knowledge of FEFP (Florida Education Finance Program) and FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) reporting

Core Responsibilities
- Provide cross-departmental analytics (budget, payroll, federal funds, grants, accounts payable).
- Support scenario modeling for financial planning, including human capital expenses and salary projections
- Develop dashboards and reports for finance, operations, and leadership teams.
- Identify, investigate, and correct data anomalies impacting funding.
- Conduct internal audits of position, enrollment, allocation, and financial data.
- Collect and validate enrollment data at the student, school, and district levels.
- Align staffing with enrollment projections, district needs, and state funding requirements.
- Model financial impacts of staffing formula changes.
- Analyze enrollment and FTE trends for capacity, rezoning, and program planning.
- Partner with Information Technology to align FLDOE FTE data with district financials.
Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job successfully.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Degree in educational leadership, administration/supervision, or related field preferred.
Experience: Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in education or project management related field, with three (3) years of related management or supervisory experience preferred.
Language Skills: Reads, analyzes, and interprets all kinds of documents. Responds to inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies, or community. Writes speeches and effectively presents to managers, the public, and school board.
Mathematical Skills: Works with math concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Applies concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability: Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of relevant and current computer software programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Finance, or related field
