Capital Projects Accountant-
Seeking a skilled accounting professional with experience in managing capital assets and general accounting processes. This position is within an amazing organization and provides strong benefits and work-life balance.
Duties
- Create and Maintain Project numbers, as well as track project expenses and purchases.
- Review and track expenses for fund accounts, and verify and process fund budget transfers.
- Review and verify proper coding for projects.
- Process reallocation journal entries, as needed.
- Partner with internal members regarding capital improvement fund items and projects.
- Approve capital improvement fund projects and purchases.
- Close out functions for capital improvement fund projects and purchases at year’s end.
- Complete monthly and yearly reporting processes.
- Create yearly fund budgets and monitor budgets with coordination from internal teams.
- Record incoming revenue for fund accounts.
- Monitor and track business assets and expenses.
- Manage depreciation schedules and provide research/ documents for audits.
- Research transactions and accounts, and approve requisitions for projects and business assets.
- Perform reconciliations for accounts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience in managing capital assets required
- Experience working with Facilities and Construction preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.49 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
