Job Description
We’re looking for a strong Front-End Web Developer who can translate design concepts into clean, responsive, high-quality websites. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals and enjoys collaborating with designers using tools like Figma. A solid understanding of front-end best practices, attention to visual detail, and the ability to efficiently implement custom designs within CMS-driven environments are essential for success in this role.
This role is ideal for a front-end developer with strong fundamentals in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript who enjoys building polished, user-friendly websites in a collaborative agency environment.
This position will work closely with our marketing, design, and development teams to build modern, high-converting websites for a wide range of small-business clients. You’ll help deliver production-ready, visually polished interfaces, thoughtful user experiences, and cohesive brand presentation across projects, balancing technical execution with visual quality and usability.
Strong verbal communication skills are important, as this role regularly collaborates with both internal team members and external clients across multiple industries. You’ll work primarily with teammates in our Tampa, Florida office, with additional collaboration involving our Idaho Falls, Idaho team. Experience with digital marketing concepts or workflows is a plus, but not required.
This is a full-time, in-office position based in our Tampa, Florida office.
Key ResponsibilitiesFront-End Development
- Build responsive, semantic, accessible web pages using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript primarily within CMS-driven environments (Umbraco, WordPress).
- Translate Figma prototypes into fully functional, production-ready interfaces.
- Leverage CSS preprocessing tools (Sass/SCSS, Less) and frameworks such as Bootstrap or Tailwind to accelerate development when appropriate.
- Fetch and work with data from APIs using JavaScript, parsing and rendering dynamic content within front-end templates as needed.
- Implement basic interactive behaviors using JavaScript, such as managing active states, handling user events, and updating the DOM.
Performance, SEO & Accessibility
- Implement on-page SEO best practices (semantic markup, structured content hierarchy, metadata, alt tags, etc.).
- Optimize sites for fast load speeds—including image optimization, lazy loading, minification, and efficient asset delivery.
- Optimize web page accessibility using WCAG standards, including proper color contrast, keyboard navigation support, ARIA attributes, and semantic structure.
- Conduct audits using tools like Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, and WAVE to ensure continuous improvement.
- Identify and remove performance bottlenecks across CSS, JS, and CMS templates.
Design & UI/UX
- Translate Figma concepts into pixel-perfect, responsive layouts with strong visual clarity and clean, modern presentation.
- Refine UI components and ensure brand consistency across diverse industries and client styles.
- Ensure usability and readability across all devices and breakpoints, focusing on clear hierarchy, strong calls-to-action, and marketing effectiveness.
- Maintain a high level of visual polish, user experience quality, and conversion-focused design throughout each project.
CMS Integration
- Customize and override built-in CMS templates, components, and markup to meet design, usability, and performance requirements while maintaining upgrade-safe patterns when possible.
- Ensure templates are flexible, editor-friendly, and optimized for SEO and performance.
- Work with content editors to maintain structured, accessible content patterns.
Workflow, Tools & Collaboration
- Use Git/GitHub for version control and collaborate within a structured development workflow.
- Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and performance audits.
- Communicate clearly and work effectively with marketing, design, and development teams.
Hours: Full-time. Monday-Friday.
