Job Overview
This position is part of the Right-of-Way Permitting Team within the Development Services Department. The ideal candidate should have technical knowledge of utility design and installation, as well as traffic engineering knowledge as it pertains to roadway access, and a strong understanding of standard customer service best practices. Experience in a call center, customer relationship management software, and comfort with face-to-face interactions are a plus. The candidate must be able to make quick and critical decisions within a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
This position will require the individual to correspond and interact with various managers and leaders from other sections and departments, and occasionally with commissioner aides; therefore, the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing is essential. This position will manage the team’s review logs and assist with zoning and site reviews.

| Minimum Qualifications RequiredBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major in Engineering or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in an Engineering-related field; ANDThree years of experience in the investigation, evaluation, assessment, planning, design, or inspection of public infrastructure and systems; ORAn equivalent combination of education (not less than possession of a High School diploma/GED), training and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted above. |
Emergency Management Responsibilities
In the event of an emergency or disaster, an employee may be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employee’s department, the County’s Office of Emergency Management, or County Administration. Such assignments may be for before, during or after the emergency/disaster.

Employees will not automatically be upgraded to the next tier.
