This is a front desk receptionist position involving complex office work providing specialized support performing delegated administrative tasks, which involves clerical, accounting, and public contact work in an automated office environment. This position requires a high degree of independent judgement and knowledge of department operations. This position is the department coordinator for office supplies, office equipment, county vehicles, mail distribution, Epicenter work orders for maintenance issues, shared departmental calendars, records retention, and assists with travel forms, and purchasing card logs.

This Office Specialist 2 position is located at: 13805 58th Street North, Suite 1-200, Clearwater, FL 33760.

Work Schedule:  Monday – Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

What Will You Do

  • Front Desk Reception.
  • Coordinator for; office equipment, office supplies, room reservations, maintenance work orders, mail distribution, shared calendars.
  • Providing administrative support.
  • Performs related work as assigned or required.

What Do You Need

Experience: Office support experience dealing with administrative matters, customer accounts, and service problems; general clerical and office experience in the use of computers and related office equipment.

  • 3+ years’ experience as described above; or
  • Associate’s degree and 1 year of experience as described above; or
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher-level degree and some experience as described above.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License at time of hire.
  • Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations.

Highly Desirable

  • Previous Economic Development experience.
  • Outlook.
  • Microsoft Word.
  • Microsoft Excel.
