Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator (on site) to support Utilities Maintenance and Plant Operations. This role involves coordinating projects, tracking performance, managing budgets, and supporting operational improvements across divisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate projects from initiation through completion
- Track budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics
- Support contract administration and compliance efforts
- Collaborate with internal teams, municipalities, and contractors
- Monitor timelines, resolve issues, and ensure on-time delivery
- Assist with process improvements and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, finance, public administration, planning, IT, or related field and 4 years of relevant experience; OR
- Master’s degree in a related field and 2 years of relevant experience; OR
- 8 years of professional experience in a related field (including at least 1 year of supervisory experience or training); OR
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Preferred / Special Qualifications
- Project management or related certification
- Valid Florida Driver’s License (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to work varied schedules, including emergency/disaster situations if needed
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of public administration principles and practices
- Knowledge of budgeting, finance, and project management systems
- Familiarity with project tracking, reporting, and documentation tools
- Understanding of building design and construction processes (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills
- Ability to lead projects, coordinate teams, and facilitate group discussions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects
- Proficiency in computer applications and data management systems
- Ability to analyze performance, implement improvements, and manage change
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Details
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
- Duration: Through at least end of year
- Location: Clearwater, FL ON SITE
Pay: $34.19 per hour
