Job Title: Sr. IT Project Manager SAP
Contract Length: 24+ Month contract
On Site Work
Location: Tampa, FL, 33605
The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing IT projects and associated activities to meet budget, schedule, and performance objectives. This role facilitates meetings, develops and maintains project schedules, and drives execution through to successful completion. The position leads cross-functional teams including internal IT staff, contractors, vendors, and business partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple IT projects simultaneously (typically 3–5 active projects depending on scope and complexity)
- Facilitate meetings and maintain detailed meeting minutes and transcripts
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and progress tracking
- Maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
- Track budgets, estimates, and resource allocation
- Lead project teams to define scope, obtain cost estimates, and assign resources
- Drive adherence to SDLC methodologies and infrastructure project standards
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communication
- Document and communicate project schedule, budget, and performance estimates
- Translate complex technical information for various audiences
- Ensure proper documentation and entry into project repositories
- Identify and mitigate risks, escalating issues as needed
Required Qualifications
- PMP certification required
- Minimum 7 years of project management experience
- Strong background in Information Technology with SAP project experience
- Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Hands-on experience managing SDLC / application-focused projects
- Vendor management experience in IT environments
- Strong leadership, planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong documentation skills with ability to forecast time, cost, and resources
- Experience with project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Smartsheets, MS Project, Jira, or similar
- Bachelor’s degree (verification required)
- Drug test required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the electric utility industry
Pay: $75.00 – $85.00 per hour
