Sr. Abinitio Developer

Job Description:

  • Ab Initio Developer with 6 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing and optimizing ETL workflows using the Ab Initio platform
  • The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in Ab Initio components data warehousing concepts and Unix Python PLSQL along with a solid understanding of end-to-end ETL development lifecycle

Key Responsibilities

  • Design develop and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio GDE CoOp EME and other Ab Initio components
  • Analyze business requirements and convert them into scalable technical solutions
  • Develop and optimize Ab Initio graphs parameter sets plans and continuous flows
  • Work with datasets using Ab Initio components such as Rollup Join Partition Scan Lookup Sort etc
  • Perform unit testing debugging and performance tuning of ETL jobs
  • Collaborate with data architects’ business analysts and QA teams to ensure high quality delivery
  • Participate in end-to-end SDLC requirement analysis design development deployment and support
  • Handle data extraction transformation and loading processes across multiple systems
  • Create technical documentation including mapping sheets, design documents and deployment scripts
  • Support production activities troubleshoot failures identify root causes and implement fixes

Required Skills

  • 6 years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio tools GDE Cooperating System EME
  • Strong expertise in developing graphs plans PSETs XFRs DMLs and various parallelism techniques
  • Solid understanding of ETL concepts data warehousing SCD types of data models and file formats
  • Proficiency in UNIX Linux shell scripting
  • Proficiency in Python scripting
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle PLSQL knowledge
  • Good analytical debugging and performance tuning skills
  • Familiarity with file transfer protocols eg SFTP and scheduling tools
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum environments

Good to Have

  • Knowledge of Big Data Hadoop Spark or cloud platforms
  • Experience with CICD pipelines version control tools Git or job schedulers
  • Exposure to Python or other scripting languages

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and in cross functional teams
  • Good problem solving and analytical mindset

Benefits

Compensation range: $90,032.00 to $134,200.00 per year
