We are actively seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join our Tampa office. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional with strong commercial real estate and finance transaction experience who can hit the ground running in a fast-paced law firm environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial real estate and finance transactions from inception through closing, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and multi-site developments
- Review and analyze title commitments, surveys, inspection reports, endorsements, and purchase and sale agreements
- Draft and prepare closing documents including deeds, loan documents, transfer documents, escrow releases, and closing statements
- Review and summarize UCC, judgment, tax, and lien searches
- Prepare lease abstracts and loan document summaries
- Coordinate due diligence and maintain transaction checklists and critical dates
- Handle post-closing matters including organizing closing binders and monitoring document deliveries
- Assist with entity formation and organizational documentation
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of recent commercial real estate paralegal experience within a law firm environment
- Strong experience reviewing commercial title commitments and surveys (this role is heavily focused on title and survey review)
- Experience handling commercial real estate closings from start to finish
- Knowledge of entity formation and organizational matters
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate finance transactions
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Florida Registered Paralegal designation preferred but not required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Compensation
- Salary target under $100,000
- Exceptional candidates may be considered above range based on experience
