Company Overview
We are a growing consumer products and distribution company seeking a detail-oriented Accounting & Operations Specialist to support our accounting, customer service, and operational functions. This position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and taking ownership of critical financial and operational processes.
Responsibilities Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Process customer invoices and monitor collections.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage cash application and payment postings.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate AP records and payment schedules.
- Assist with weekly cash flow planning.
EDI Management
- Process and monitor EDI transactions with retail customers.
- Review and resolve EDI errors, chargebacks, and deductions.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure accurate order processing.
- Maintain compliance with customer EDI requirements.
Sales Tax & Compliance
- Prepare and file multi-state sales tax reports.
- Maintain exemption certificates and customer tax documentation.
- Assist with annual reporting and compliance requirements.
Financial Reporting
- Track company expenses and vendor payments.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare financial reports and management summaries.
- Support budgeting and cash flow reporting.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Maintain accounting records and documentation.
- Coordinate with operations, customer service, and warehouse teams.
- Assist with inventory reconciliations and cost tracking.
- Support external CPA and tax professionals during audits and tax preparation.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting operations experience.
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger processes.
- Experience with EDI platforms and retailer compliance programs preferred.
- Experience preparing sales tax filings across multiple states preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Experience
- Consumer products, manufacturing, distribution, or e-commerce experience.
- Amazon Seller Central and Amazon settlement reconciliation experience.
- Inventory accounting and cost accounting knowledge.
- Experience working with major retailers and wholesale distribution channels.
Compensation
- Salary: $65,000–$95,000 depending on experience.
- Bonus opportunities based on company performance.

Pay: $60,014.35 – $85,000.00 per year
