InfoSight is seeking a full-time Security & Infrastructure Solution Specialist in the Tampa Bay Area to support client environments across Level 1 technical support, security operations, systems administration, and infrastructure projects.

This is a hands-on hybrid technical role for someone with a solid foundation in Windows systems, networking, virtualization, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies who wants to continue developing into a stronger infrastructure and project resource.

The Security & Infrastructure Solution Specialist will handle day-to-day Level 1 technical support and security related responsibilities while also working alongside Solution Architects, and other senior technical resources on server, virtualization, networking, cloud, security, and infrastructure projects.

Core Responsibilities

Level 1 Technical Support

  • Provide Level 1 technical support for client users and environments.
  • Troubleshoot common Windows workstation, laptop, Microsoft 365, application, printer, and connectivity issues.
  • Perform password resets, account unlocks, basic access changes, and standard user administration.
  • Assist with user onboarding and offboarding tasks.
  • Troubleshoot basic VPN, DNS, DHCP, wireless, and network connectivity issues.
  • Support endpoint configuration, software installation, patching, and routine troubleshooting.
  • Follow documented procedures and knowledge base articles for common technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate ticket notes, client communication, and technical documentation.
  • Identify issues requiring advanced troubleshooting and escalate them to the appropriate senior technical resource.
  • Assist with routine server and infrastructure monitoring when required.

Security Operations

  • Assist with monitoring and triage of security alerts generated by SIEM, endpoint security, firewall, cloud, and other security platforms.
  • Perform initial investigation of security alerts based on established procedures.
  • Assist with endpoint detection and response platforms such as SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender, or similar technologies.
  • Review suspicious authentication activity, malware detections, endpoint alerts, and other security events.
  • Gather relevant evidence and technical information for senior SOC resources.
  • Follow established incident response and escalation procedures.
  • Assist with endpoint isolation, remediation, and recovery activities when directed.
  • Support vulnerability remediation and security related configuration tasks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of investigations, findings, and remediation activities.

Scope note: The Security & Infrastructure Solution Specialist is not expected to independently lead complex security investigations. Advanced investigations and incident response decisions will be escalated to senior security resources.

Infrastructure and Project Support

  • Work alongside senior technical team members on cloud and on premises infrastructure projects.
  • Assist with the deployment, configuration, migration, and troubleshooting of Windows Server environments.
  • Support enterprise virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere and ESXi, Microsoft Hyper V, and Nutanix.
  • Assist with physical to virtual, virtual to virtual, and cloud migration projects.
  • Participate in server refreshes, infrastructure upgrades, consolidations, and data center migrations.
  • Assist with Microsoft Azure and AWS deployments and migrations.
  • Support hybrid cloud environments and connectivity.
  • Assist with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Entra ID related project work.
  • Support server hardware, storage, backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Assist with network configuration related to infrastructure projects, including VLANs, routing, VPNs, DNS, firewall rules, NAT, and connectivity.
  • Participate in technical discovery and infrastructure assessments.
  • Assist with documenting network topology, server environments, cloud resources, security controls, and technical dependencies.
  • Execute assigned portions of implementation and migration plans developed by senior technical resources.
  • Participate in testing, validation, troubleshooting, and post migration verification.
  • Identify project risks, dependencies, and technical concerns and escalate them appropriately.
  • Assist with project documentation, knowledge transfer, and transition to ongoing operations.

Required Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of hands on IT support, systems administration, infrastructure, networking, security operations, or related technical experience.
  • Experience providing Level 1 technical support in a business or managed services environment.
  • Hands on experience supporting production Windows environments.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with VMware, Hyper V, Nutanix, or another enterprise virtualization platform.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, DNS, VPNs, firewall rules, and NAT.
  • Ability to troubleshoot common endpoint, application, authentication, and connectivity issues.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and security alert investigation.
  • Ability to follow established technical, security, and incident response procedures.
  • Ability to work from technical documentation, project plans, and established standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tickets, technical assignments, and project responsibilities.
  • Ability to recognize when an issue requires escalation to a senior technical resource.
