Yzer is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager Database and Business Analytics to join our team, reporting to the CIO. This candidate leads the organization’s database infrastructure and business analytics functions, bridging technical data management with strategic business insight generation. This role owns the health, security, and performance of enterprise database systems while directing the analysis of business data to support company wide.
Location: 12470 Telecom Drive Tampa FL- (Onsite)
Pay Scale: $125K to $140K
Hours: M-F 8:30AM to 5:30pm, 40 standard hours, however additional hours will be necessary based on customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the architecture, administration, and performance of relational and/or NoSQL database systems supporting business operations.
- Establish and enforce standards for data security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.
- Manage database migrations, upgrades, and capacity planning to support organizational growth.
- Ensure data integrity, availability, and compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).
- Leverage and promote AI solutions to accelerate project completion and improve overall efficiency.
- Evaluate and implement new database technologies and tools to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Direct the development of dashboards, reports, and analytical models that translate raw data into actionable business insights
- Partner with executive leadership and department heads to identify KPIs and data-driven opportunities.
- Oversee data governance practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reporting.
- Lead root-cause analysis on operational or financial trends using data from multiple systems.
- Drive adoption of self-service analytics tools across business units.
- Manage and mentor a team of database administrators, data analysts, and/or business intelligence professionals.
- Serve as the primary liaison between IT/database teams and business stakeholders
- Manage vendor relationships for database and analytics platforms.
- Develop and maintain documentation for database architecture, analytics processes, and governance policies.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field (master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in database administration and/or business analytics, including 3+ years in a management or leadership role.
- Strong SQL skills, data modeling expertise, and experience with ETL processes.
- Proficiency with BI/analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and database platforms (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- Office onsite required some flexibility of working from home.
- Primarily sedentary, involving extended periods of sitting at desk using computer, phone and other office equipment.
- Climate Controlled- office setting.
- Quiet to moderately noise, depending on office layout or company activity.
- Occasional walking to attend meetings or for training.
- May involved light lifting up to 20 LBS.
