A well-established boutique defense firm in St. Petersburg is seeking a talented Litigation Attorney to join its practice. The position is best suited for an attorney with several years of litigation experience who is comfortable handling cases with limited supervision.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys practicing law in a smaller, collegial firm environment where you take ownership of your cases and work closely with experienced attorneys and an experienced legal team.
Position Highlights
- Insurance defense experience preferred auto accidents, bodily injury as well as property damage matters associated with the file.
- Competitive salary of $100,000–$130,000, based on experience

Responsibilities
- Handle personal injury and automobile accident defense matters.
- Manage cases through all phases of litigation.
- Take and defend depositions and appear at hearings and other court proceedings.
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and insurance representatives.
- Work closely with the senior attorney on case strategy and significant case matters.
- Manage deadlines and maintain an organized caseload.
- Travel to surrounding counties for hearings, depositions, and other case-related matters as needed.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Member in good standing of The Florida Bar.
- Litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense.
- Experience handling automobile accident cases preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage a caseload.
- Professional, dependable, and comfortable working directly with clients.
- Willingness to work in person at our office and travel to surrounding counties as needed.
