Job Summary

The Controller oversees financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance to ensure accurate financial management at Electro Technik Industries. This role is responsible for maintaining financial controls and optimizing the company’s fiscal performance.

Duties/Responsibilities

· Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

· Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, key balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations.

· Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions to ensure data integrity.

· Perform variance analysis and prepare accurate monthly financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

· Collaborate with department heads to review variances and operational metrics.

· Continuously improve and document close workflows to reduce the number of days required to close the books.

· Manage all intercompany transactions across multiple entities

· Prepare all accruals and prepayments.

· Supervise daily accounting operations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly manage and oversee the accounting department to include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and general accounting responsibilities of parent company and 13 subsidiaries.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide mentorship to ensure professional development.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set departmental goals, and facilitate training programs.
  • Ensure proper delegation of responsibilities to maintain efficiency in financial operations.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align financial strategies with business objectives.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, and financial compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong communication skills for financial reporting.
  • Experience integrating acquisitions and other operations preferred.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 7 – 10 years of experience in financial management, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing financial teams.

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily office-based with occasional travel.
