We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney specializing in Probate and Estate Planning to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive legal support to clients navigating estate planning, probate proceedings, and related legal matters. Your expertise will help clients secure their assets, plan for the future, and ensure their wishes are honored through meticulous legal strategies. Responsibilities
- Draft and review estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
- Assist clients with probate proceedings, including estate administration and fiduciary duties.
- Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies across diverse practice areas including family law, employment law, and general litigation.
- Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and other court documents with procedural accuracy.
- Represent clients in court depositions, trial preparation, negotiations, and settlement discussions.
- Manage legal case files efficiently using case management software while maintaining detailed client communication records.
- Provide legal counsel on statutory laws related to estate planning, probate procedures, and other relevant areas such as securities law and tribal regulations.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in estate planning, probate law, or related fields such as family law or personal injury law.
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms.
- Familiarity with procedural law knowledge including court depositions and trial preparation.
- Excellent legal writing and drafting skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to negotiate effectively and advocate passionately on behalf of clients.
- Experience with contract drafting, legal motion preparation, and litigation processes.
- Demonstrated client communication skills with a professional demeanor.
