Senior Director, Integrated Marketing & Creative

Position Summary

Kane’s Furniture is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Integrated Marketing & Creative to lead development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across creative, digital, traditional media, email/SMS, social, website, print and in-store channels. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this key leader will translate business and marketing strategy into compelling campaigns and ensure accurate, consistent, and timely execution across every customer touchpoint.

The combination of creative leadership and operational ownership is critical. This is a hands-on role for a leader who can shape the idea and message, direct internal and external creative resources, build the execution plan, manage overlapping campaigns and own the details from initial brief through launch. It is not a traditional Creative Director role focused solely on creative development; success requires equal strength in creative judgment, marketing operations, project management, and accountability in a fast-paced manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Integrated Campaign & Creative Leadership

  • Translate business and marketing strategy into integrated campaign plans, leading work from brief and concept through production, launch and post-campaign review.
  • Develop cohesive customer-facing campaigns across television/CTV, digital advertising, paid social, email/SMS, website, print/direct mail, social media and in-store marketing.
  • Partner with the CMO on promotional messaging, campaign themes, positioning and communication priorities that support traffic, acquisition, sales and revenue growth.
  • Provide creative direction to designers, content resources and agency partners; evaluate concepts, messaging, layouts and visual execution while maintaining brand standards and consistency.
  • Challenge routine execution, strengthen creative quality and coach team members to improve both ideas and outcomes.

Marketing Operations, Promotions & Quality

  • Own day-to-day execution of the integrated promotional calendar, converting strategy into clear briefs, deliverables, owners, timelines, dependencies and production schedules.
  • Prioritize concurrent projects, anticipate delays and escalate missing information or decisions early while keeping processes disciplined and practical.
  • Coordinate across Marketing, Merchandising, Sales, Operations, IT, Finance and external partners to secure product, pricing, financing, promotional details, media requirements and approvals.
  • Ensure promotional offers, dates, store hours, disclaimers and required financing language are accurate and consistently implemented across all affected channels, with disciplined version control.
  • Establish and enforce quality-control and launch-readiness processes so work reaches the CMO reviewed, accurate and ready for final approval; require team members to validate their own work.
  • Test customer-facing links, landing pages, pricing, products, dates, disclosures and the applicable customer journey before launch; identify recurring errors and improve processes to prevent repeat issues.

Retail, Agency & Vendor Execution

  • Oversee marketing support for Kane’s showrooms, ensuring stores receive accurate promotional materials, signage, instructions and other support before installation or launch deadlines.
  • Integrate store marketing with broader media, digital and promotional campaigns and partner with Sales and Operations to improve the in-store customer experience and showroom traffic.
  • Manage agency and vendor briefs, deliverables, quality, accuracy and deadlines; identify incomplete or incorrect work and drive resolution before it affects downstream execution.
  • Monitor recurring partner performance issues and provide recommendations to the CMO regarding capabilities, performance and resource allocation.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Set clear priorities, expectations, roles and decision rights while building a culture of accountability, collaboration, urgency and attention to detail.
  • Coach team members to take ownership of outcomes, surface issues early and bring solutions rather than simply escalating problems.
  • Develop creative and marketing talent through active feedback, mentoring and review; support the CMO in evaluating future organizational structure and resource needs.

What Success Looks Like

Success means building a more creative, integrated and disciplined Marketing organization where strategy translates clearly into execution; campaigns are planned ahead, accurate, cohesive and launched on time; stores and partners receive what they need; team members own their work; and the CMO can focus more time on growth, customer strategy, performance and the future of the business.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including significant responsibility for integrated campaign development and execution, and 5+ years leading creative, marketing or integrated campaign teams.
  • Demonstrated success leading high-volume, multi-channel campaigns from concept through execution in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
  • Strong creative judgment and experience directing campaign concepts, messaging and visual execution, combined with exceptional project-management, organizational and quality-control capabilities.
  • Experience managing internal creative resources and external agencies/vendors across traditional and digital channels, including television/video, digital advertising, email, social, web, print and retail/in-store marketing.
  • Strong communication, cross-functional leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage changing priorities and drive issues through resolution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in retail, furniture/home furnishings, home improvement, automotive, consumer electronics, department stores or another high-volume promotional business with physical locations.
  • Experience with promotional financing, complex offers/disclosures, merchandising and sales partnerships, performance marketing, and driving store traffic/customer acquisition.
  • Experience improving marketing workflows, production and quality-control systems while developing team creative and operational capabilities.

  • 401k/Profit Sharing Plan

Leadership Profile

Creative but disciplined; strategic but hands-on; highly organized without being bureaucratic; accountable, proactive, collaborative and decisive. The right leader is customer-focused, develops people, adapts to changing priorities and understands that ownership means ensuring the work gets resolved—not simply identifying the problem.
