JOB TITLE: Manager of Marketing: Full-Time

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday

SUMMARY: The Manager of Marketing supports the Development, EventsEducation departments in promoting the museum, driving attendance, and championing the importance of STEAM education. This position leads website, public relationssocial media teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide direction to the social media and graphic design teams, ensuring alignment with MOSI’s brand, mission, and organizational goals.
  • Maintain MOSI website with accurate and engaging content such as details regarding events, exhibits, programs, public noticesother special notices
  • Provide input on marketing plans that support organizational priorities, educational programming, exhibition launches, special events, and museum-wide initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent brand standards across all internal and external communications, advertising, and visual identity materials.
  • Review market research and analyze audience trends to inform strategymessaging
  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and organizing any marketing materialscollateral (i.e. graphics, flyers, etc.)
  • Assist in creationimplementation of strategies including advertising, promotions, and social media
  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain relationships with external marketing partners
  • Keep up-to-date on overall activities of the organization
  • Maintain MOSI’s internal events to community calendars (Visit Tampa Bay, Creative Loafing, etc.)
  • Identify cost-effective marketing opportunitiespartnerships that enhance MOSI’s reach and impact.
  • Oversee and supervise part-time staff/interns with the activation at offsite events and fulfilling membership/ticket donations as requested from local non-profits.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
  • Preferred experience in digital marketing, media or communications
  • Experience in digital marketing, social media, and website management
  • Strong team management abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in WordPress (Permalink Structures and Gutenberg Block editor)
  • Proficient in HTML/CSS
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Creative, flexible and innovative team player

MOSI is open 363 days a year. Employees may be required to work some holidays

MOSI has a 401(k) Plan in place to help employees save for retirement. Employees become eligible in the Plan after six months. After that time, MOSI will contribute 3% of your salary and will match your employee contribution up to 4%.
