Job Description:
- Maintain fiscal records, and prepare reports and operating statements
- Review monthly financial reports and make informed inquiries of financial status
- Prepare journal entries, maintain and reconcile accounts, and resolve questions and problems
- Act as a liaison to business entities and departments on budget issues, assisting with financial reports and identifying areas of concern
- Perform accounting for different projects, including recording bond charges and fees, expenses, requesting reimbursement for reserves, recording interest payments, rents, and reviewing financial statements prepared by owners/management companies
- Prepare budget reports for programs by comparing actual to budget and explaining variances, including making corrections to coding and answering questions
- Maintain the capital expenditure worksheets and interface with outside professional consultants for proper reporting of audits, tax returns, and bond issue requirements
- Prepare FA depreciation schedules, trial balances, and related reports and statements
- Participate in year-end closing by calculating and preparing accrual postings for adjustments, and other tasks as required
- Assist in the development and maintenance of detailed financial models to evaluate cash flows, test scenarios, and ensure maximization of operational performance
- Develop financial models to aid in cost analysis of all programs
- Establish and maintain financial planning models and assist in the design and implementation of new financial reports
- Reconcile current to previous cash flow projections and provide explanations for changes
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 2 or more years of relatable accounting or finance experience
- Strong ERP and Excel proficiency (VLOOKUPs preferred)
