Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP, and will be proficient in using accounting software such as QuickBooks. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
Duties
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment approvals.
- Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with securities law.
- Provide support in wills, trusts, and estate law matters as needed.
- Mentor junior staff members and provide guidance on accounting practices.
- Conduct regular audits of financial documents to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in public accounting or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts and principles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
- Familiarity with wills, trusts, estate law, and securities law is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.

Pay: $64,184.00 – $68,377.00 per year
