Coca-Cola North America seeks an Accountant III to maintain and improve the quality of SAP Material Master Data.  This role will actively partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations Organizations to ensure Master Data Standards are accurately updated in a timely manner and in accordance with contractual obligations.  This position will be responsible for the completion of the Annual Business Plan for Cost of Goods Sold in excess of $10 Billion.  Additionally, this position will partner with the procurement and PSS functional team s to ensure the Standards costs in SAP are accurately reported.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Accountant III is responsible for, but not limited to the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain solid partnerships with procurement, supply chain and operations organizations
  • Develop KBIs and analyze results to ensure accurate Material Master data and Financial data
  • Oversee preparation and communication of impact to changes in materials, standard costs and purchase price variances for $10 billion in Cost of Goods Sold
  • Ensure the integrity of standard cost in SAP
  • Perform cost validations and impact analysis
  • Provide group support in the creation of automated tools to improve the efficiency of the department
  • Act of the liaison between the BIS team and the Master Data team on projects that require changes to Master Data
  • Responsible for the completion of the Annual Business Plan for Cost of Goods Sold.
  • Assist in the training of new department members
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting to ensure data integrity and proper statements of Financials
  • Work with the Enterprise Master Data team to ensure all systems are synchronized in terms of Master Data
  • Analyze current creation/maintenance process, propose and implement improved strategies
  • Improve tools and documents that support the daily creation and maintenance process
  • Roll out action plans to correct inaccurate data as well as perform root cause analysis to avoid repeat data errors.
  • Provide daily support and guidance to Staff Accountants and Accounting Assistants
  • Provide analytical and technical assistance to the business community.
  • Partner with BIS on required configuration changes to the PR1 environment
  • Develop and enforce policies/processes to ensure reliable Master Data collection and maintenance.

  • Communicate with other master data team members about creation status and data readiness
  • Respond to queries from business within agreed timeframes
  • Resolve and communicate any issues with relevant stakeholders
  • Investigate opportunities for process, tools and documents improvement and implement then.

  • Support Planning and Deployment projects, manage project work to achieve goals in line with business needs
  • Demonstrate initiative to seek out opportunities for skill growth.

  • Ensure compliance to CCR standard procedures and Company policies
  • Maintain highest level of confidentiality concerning CCR pricing structure and product roll outs

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Firm understanding of inventory accounting and related movements as well as a firm understanding of absorption costing and variable vs fixed expenses
  • Cost accounting Experience with an ERP or MRP system is preferred
  • Excellent analytical approach
  • Understanding of production, warehouse and distribution processes
  • Broad experience in production/deployment planning in a complex environment
  • Implementation of systems/process
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and influence skills
  • Solid business writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products; knowledge of advanced Excel functionality and knowledge of Access is preferred.
  • Flexibility to adjust work load and hours when necessary.
