Accountant Job Duties:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple client businesses
- Record daily transactions, including sales, expenses, and other financial activities
- Classify and code transactions appropriately for proper allocation and reporting
- Reconcile and update general ledger accounts for various client companies
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of journal entries to reflect business transactions
- Monitor and correct any discrepancies or irregularities in ledger accounts
- Process invoices, bill payments, and expense reimbursements for multiple clients
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments
- Coordinate with vendors and clients to resolve any billing or payment issues
- Collaborate with client management to create and manage budgets for each business
- Assist in forecasting financial performance and identifying potential risks and opportunities
- Provide regular updates on budget variances and recommend corrective actions
- Assist external auditors during annual audits of client companies, providing necessary documentation
- Offer financial insights and recommendations to help clients make informed business decisions
- Analyze financial performance, cost structures, and revenue streams to identify areas for improvement
- Provide expert guidance on financial matters and assist clients in achieving their financial goals
- Utilize accounting software and tools to manage client financial information efficiently
- Aid in the integration of new accounting systems and technologies to enhance operational effectiveness
- Cultivate positive relationships with clients through effective communication and exceptional service
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with client teams to understand their financial goals and tailor accounting services accordingly
Accountant Skills/Qualifications:
- Proficient with using accounting software
- 3+ years professional accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Proficient knowledge of Excel, problem solving, and analytical skills
