Full Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (in no order of priority)
Essential duties and responsibilities involve the full range of accounting functions, including, but not limited to the following:
- Must be able to work at a fast pace, perform duties while under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner, to interact/communicate with other employees, owners, tenants, vendors, and the public in a professional and pleasant manner.
- Assist in training and development of administrative personnel in accordance with company policies and directives.
- Deposit checks via remote deposit scanner and or physically at a bank.
- Post all cash receipts received from owners/tenants and monthly reoccurring charges to owners/tenants.
- Prepare owner/client invoices and tenant charge-backs for processing.
- Assist Accounting Manager with owner/tenant questions and concerns, as it relates to accounts receivable.
- Assist the Accounting Manager with account reconciliation and compilation of monthly financial information as directed.
- Monitor the aged delinquencies for each property, issue appropriate delinquency notices (tenant default, 3-day notices) upon review by the Accounting Manager. Correspond with attorneys regarding tenant defaults at the direction of the Accounting Manager.
- Communicate to tenants in a timely manner any rent increases in advance of the escalation date.
- Assist Accounting Manager with preparing and billing the annual operating expense reconciliations.
- Generate from MRI and review the following components of the monthly operating reports for accuracy: Aged Delinquencies, Receivables Ledger, and Rent Roll.
- Assist in the preparation, assembly, and distribution of the monthly operating reports.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of annual property budgets.
- Review, abstract, and enter new leases/renewals into MRI as directed by the Accounting Manager.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Equipment/Software
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat required.
Proficiency in MRI, Yardi, and Argus are a plus

Education and/or Experience
Education: Associate Degree or related work experience
Experience: Knowledge of property management or related field, organizational skills, basic bookkeeping, administrative background
