SUMMARY
The Accounting Manager works directly with the community association managers to support the financial operations of Vesta’s client communities. The Accounting Manager is responsible for a team of accounting professionals that perform the financial support for the region’s client base.
Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES include the following:
- Responsible for supervising the accounting procedures of the office.
- Audit the work of the accounting department.
- Support and supervise all Accounting Personnel.
- Engage in critical aspects of accounting.
- Responsible for the development of policies, systems, and customer service relating to financial services.
- Advise management on matters of fiscal procedure and importance for the organization.
- Advise management on matters of fiscal importance regarding Association clients.
- Work closely with Community Association Managers and Management on all accounting matters.
- Ensure compliance with the financial procedures of the organization
- Works with confidential data, which, if disclosed, might have significant internal effect or minor external effect.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
The accounting manager manages all employees of the accounting department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
TRAVEL:
Limited travel is expected for this position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent years of experience in Association Management Accounting
- Experience in Accounting for Community Associations
- Knowledge of TOPS or Village Management Software (VMS) a plus but not required.
