As an Accounting Specialist at GOAT Logistics, you will manage customer and carrier invoices, reconcile monthly accounts, and create the company’s financial statements, general ledger, and monthly accounts while providing advanced solutions for accounting and reporting requirements.
Working directly with multi-million dollar businesses, you will:
- Communicate directly with vendors and clients on various invoices
- Review customer statements to ensure payment has been processed
- Respond to inquiries within a 24-hour period, both by email and voicemail, assisting with payment status and inquiries
- Provide phone support to customers and carriers
- Manage invoice reconciliation and settlements
- Innovate on existing operating processes
- Manage payroll of employees
- Compile financial reporting for monthly and quarterly financial data
- Reconcile invoices, general ledger, and bank accounts
- Calculate and review reserve balance to accurately reflect the liability
- Coordinate the year-end audit
- Present monthly and quarterly financial statements to the CEO
- Streamline accounting processes to improve business intelligence

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 2-4 years of related accounting experience
- MBA or CPA is a plus
- Strong work ethic
- Experience in Microsoft Excel and Access
- A high degree of detail in daily work and other projects
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Capable of operating in a fast-paced environment
