Job Summary

Manage an AP Team of up to 3 accounts payable clerks

  • Manage AP for multiple cost centers/business units
  • Maintain Vendor Relations and the AP Weekly Payment Proposal- Daily Payables Outstanding (DPO’s) are to be managed closely
  • Manages P Cards- ensure that all receipts are uploaded and approved weekly, maintenance of general ledger to ensure items are coded accurately
  • Manage self-billing registers and recurring payments- ensure self-billing registers are being reviewed weekly by the sites and
  • Manage the Open PO Report on a monthly basis by ensuring that the old PO’s are closed out and dates are updated as necessary
  • Manage Purchase Price Variance +/- $1000- understanding of PPV and ensure the accuracy of PPV
  • Manage the monthly closing of Accounts Payables- Trade Payables, Received Not Invoiced, and AP Accruals such as utilities etc.
  • Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies for the accounts payable function in order to ensure adherence to company guidelines
  • Ensure and review the accuracy of coding to the General Ledger by the accounts payable clerks
  • Leases-an understanding of leases and the ability to track a number of lease payments and accruals on a monthly basis
  • Freight – Understanding of how freight is processed and runs through TMO
  • Understanding of Property Tax, Sales Use Tax and Resale & Exemption Certificates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five plus years of accounting experience
  • One or more years of leadership experience included
  • Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
  • AP system experience
