$18 an hour – Part-time, Internship
| Overview:
Broome Capital is an opportunistic investment & development company focused on various asset classes throughout the Southeastern United States, primarily multifamily housing and self-storage. Our rapid growth has created the need for a part-time intern to assist with sourcing and pursuing institutional size self-storage development sites. This is an on-site position and will be a supporting role to the Director of Acquisitions. This is a part-time role, working between 6-9 hours a week at 3-hour intervals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying sites for purchase (off-market and listed)
- Deal underwriting
- Deal due diligence
- Networking with brokers and land owners
- Research potential sellers and establish line of communication in order to acquire sites
- Participate in developing an acquisitions network to build a pipeline
Qualifications:
- Current undergraduate or graduate enrolled status in real estate, finance, business or related field
- Familiarity with Real Estate and local markets
- High proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Project)
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Well-developed social and cooperation skills
- Intermediate level financial underwriting in Excel – strong ability to format and work with various formulas
- Exceptional follow-through and organizational skills
- Highly meticulous
- Valid Driver’s License, as driving is an essential function of this position
