FirstService Residential is hiring an Activity Assistant for a property located in Tampa, FL near the West Chase area.
Must be able to work weekends as needed and have some event planning experience.
Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm (flexible hours) (must be able to work weekend May-September and as needed)
ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION
- Report to Activity Director.
- Must maintain a positive attitude at all times.
- Dress appropriately.
- Update Calendar, flyers, upcoming events and event pictures on Waterchase.com and FirstService Connect websites.
- Update printed office calendars (staff), rental/events calendar.
- Update printed flyers in office, advertising rack, and corkboard outside of office.
- Update Marquee board with upcoming meetings and events.
- Help send E-Blasts to the community.
- Help update New Resident packets with upcoming events.
- Assist in answering phone calls, taking messages, and emails responding to resident’s/costumer needs.
- Assist with inventory, tracking and selling of all items in the ice cream store.
- Assist Activity Director in preparing and holding special events during the day, night, and some weekends.
- Make yourself available for all events throughout the year.
- Responsible/Assist with room set-up, breakdown, and clean up for meeting, activities and special events.
- Help supervise pool monitors during pool season May-September.
- Assist in making daily rounds to entire amenities areas including clubhouse, pool, playground, basketball court, tennis courts and soccer field to ensure the cleanliness of our property. Report any findings.
- Assist in other necessary duties needed by the Activity Director and/or Property Manager.

Education/training:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Three (3) or more years of activity or hospitality related experience.
- Strong working knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Excellent interpersonal, office management, organizational and communication skills
- Self-starter with excellent communication, interpersonal, telephone skills and customer service.
Computer Literacy:
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Windows software, Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to prioritize work with minimum supervision.
Special Requirements:
- Physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Standing, sitting, walking, and occasional climbing
- Required to work at a personal commuter for extended periods of time.
- Talking on phone for extended periods of time.
- Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms.
- Ability to work extended/flexible hours, weekend, and attend Board meetings as required.
- Driving when necessary.
