Position Description Title: Administrative Assistant Status: Part Time (12-15 hrs/wk)

Job Summary

Our small, professional, commercial real estate development office located near I-275 and Dale Mabry Highway, is seeking the ideal candidate for an administrative position. This is a person independently driven yet able to work with a small team towards the common goal of delivering high quality commercial real estate projects in a timely and profitable manner. As an administration assistant they need a good blend of communication skills, detail oriented organizational skills, computer skills, the ability to independently prioritize workloads and multitask. This person needs to carry themselves in a professional nature, be extremely reliable, and service oriented. The majority of the tasks involve resolving routine questions, keeping the office presentable, dealing with routine paperwork (filing, scanning, faxing, copying, mailing, etc.) and light bookkeeping (AP entry, deposits and bank reconciliations). Ample on the job training will be provided for all tasks required so specific knowledge is not required but familiarity of working within a highly professional environment and knowledge of the real estate development industry is beneficial.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in an administrative position
  • Must be extremely reliable, organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; team player
  • Ability to work independently in a small office environment
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality

Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Manage client and other customer visits– provide beverages
  • Administrative support for office and business owners
  • Document scanning, filing and file management
  • Process and distribute mail
  • Light bookkeeping using QuickBooks
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Solid multi-tasking and time management skills; work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members
  • Work under pressure and handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner

Salary and Benefits Pay/benefits are competitive based on industry standards.

  • Starting salary range: $20 – $22 per hour
