Our founding attorney, Stephanie Edwards, ensures that each client is provided with personalized, one-on-one attention for his or her unique needs. We equip individuals and families who work with us with the information they need as we assist them through every step of estate planning, applying for Medicaid long-term care benefits or VA Aid and Attendance benefits, and the probate process. We understand that the people who come to us for guidance are navigating unfamiliar territory, which is why we offer our compassionate support. We are searching for an administrative assistant to add to our team.

We have a small office and we work together as a team to assist our clients. This position is one of the most crucial to our firm as you will be the first impression that our clients will have of the firm. We are searching for someone who wants to help people. You need to be able to listen to determine how to best help the caller, set appointments, confirm client appointments, and assist with the various admin tasks that are essential to a law firm.

Our ideal candidate enjoys working with people who are primarily seniors, likes a fast-paced environment and can multi-task, is not afraid of technology, and will take initiative. We have two cats in our office, so we need someone who loves cats and appreciates the benefits of working with pets in the office.

Job requirements:

  • Three (3) or more years of executive assistant or office management experience, including experience managing phone inquiries
  • Three (3) or more years of experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • One (1) or more years of experience working with a CRM system
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong multi-tasking skills

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to handle initial client phone contact in a timely and welcoming manner
  • Ability to utilize appropriate judgment and poise when interacting with clients
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple time sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to evaluate if a potential client’s needs are in an area of the law handled by the firm
  • Ability to communicate verbally in a positive, friendly, and professional manner
  • Ability to pay attention to details in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to navigate through the firm’s CRM system, utilizing workflow processes
  • Ability to organize and manage busy electronic office calendar
  • Desire to proactively participate in a positive team environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to draft professional letters and e-mails
  • Ability to proofread documents and letters for correct content, spelling, and grammar
