Gerdau is currently seeking a Credit Cash Applier for its Tampa, Florida corporate office location.
This position is responsible for providing clerical and administrative functions pertaining to the cash application and accounts receivable process; the processing of customer receipts accurately and timely in accordance with company policy to maximize cash flow and ensure Company accounts receivable targets are met.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support and services for designated business units for accounts receivable functions.
- Receive customer receipts from various sources including electronic transfers, lockbox, credit cards, and deposits.
- Access SAP, Lawson, PRMS, and others to post cash receipts of customer accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Compile remittance detail as necessary through internal and external sources.
- Perform necessary research to identify and rectify application issues in a timely manner.
- Assist with tracking and reconciling items as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
- Requires a High School Diploma; Associate’s Degree helpful.
- 2 + years experience in the accounts receivables field.
- Work experience should include high volume cash application with experience in accounts receivable processing and internal controls, and basic accounting.
- Intermediate Excel knowledge and experience (pivot tables, V look ups)
- Strong analytical, investigative and research skills.
- Experience with foreign currency exchanges.
- Professional communication skills and interpersonal abilities
- Good planning, organization and decision-making abilities are required.
- A focus on customer service to the operating units is inherent in this position.
