JOB TITLE: Administrator

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the overall management and performance of an Assisted Living Facility
  • Ensure high quality resident services within budgetary guidelines
  • Responsible for compliance with federal, state, and local procedures and regulations
  • Any other duties assigned by the Manager

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to: Manager
  • Supervises: Director of Nursing, Maintenance Department, Activities Director, Dietary Dept. and Business Office
  • Interfaces with: Residents, guests, families, all employees and supervisors, state licensing agencies and the external community at large

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

  • Direct the overall operations of the facility
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local policies
  • Manage occupancy development of the facility
  • Marketing utilizing sales and marketing staff
  • Develop and implement a community-wide resident relations program
  • Foster effective communication and team work among the Management group to ensure high quality resident services
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing agencies including license renewals
  • Oversee the management of all facility vendor contracts, leases and warrants
  • Oversee the management of the facility
  • Direct the safety and loss prevention program
  • Monitor adherence to safety rules and regulations
  • Take remedial action when necessary
  • Develop and execute a quality assurance program
  • Ensure adherence to ethical business practices
  • Managing Personnel
  • Responsible for the recruitment, selection, retention and termination of all employees of the facility
  • Ensure adequate and effective orientation and training of all employees in their job specific duties and in the understanding of the facility’s resident population
  • Supervise, train, develop and evaluate department heads by providing ongoing, timely feedback
  • Establish a positive employee relations program
  • Create a motivating work environment which encourages positive problem solving and overall job satisfaction for employees
