As a Consultant in our Valuation and Modeling practice at Deloitte, you’ll join our real estate team and have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside leading professionals across diverse industries while building your professional skills by participating in a variety of projects.
You’ll be involved in helping our clients understand, analyze, and respond to various business opportunities and challenges presented by real estate transactions and key business and investment decisions.
Work you’ll do. You will have the opportunity to work on projects to help advise clients to effectively select, deliver, manage, and value investments in capital assets and real estate to maximize returns and reduce risk.
You will leverage advanced, technology-enabled solutions to help our clients more confidently make decisions and execute on those decisions to drive performance.
Your responsibilities could include: • Valuations for regulatory and compliance purposes • Conducting research, analysis and provide meaningful insights • Interviewing market participants and property managers • Writing memos and reports • Performing lease advisory services • Performing financial / cash flow modeling • Preparing Argus/DYNA/Excel based models • Providing consultative services to address real estate problems • Performing appraisals/value opinions of ownership interests in real estate • Performing inspections of real estate projects, and performing 3rd-party appraisal review • Performing pre-acquisition due diligence and assist clients on strategies, synergy identification, risk assessments etc.
The team Our Deloitte Risk and Financial Advisory Valuation Real Estate team serves clients throughout nearly all industries, handling many types of property-related issues, including due diligence, lease advisory, market analyses, underwriting process evaluations, portfolio related services, litigation support and expert witness services, and complex property analysis and valuation. Our professionals frequently deal with large portfolios of real property assets on a regional, national and even global basis.
We also cover the full spectrum of real estate valuation services, from evaluating large and diverse portfolios to performing single-property analyses, as well as identifying and performing valuations of tangible and intangible real estate-related assets.

We are seeking individuals at the Consultant level to join our Valuation practice.
Candidates should have the ability to listen to, understand and incorporate client needs and objectives into work plans and to execute the work.
The candidate should also have the ability to participate in client service teams performing tasks with some oversight and supervision.
Our goal is to provide a variety of experiences that will allow you to learn and understand our practice. Consultants will be staffed on engagements where they will have the opportunity to provide an array of program and project management services.
Qualifications Required: • Bachelor s degree and/or Master s degree in Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, Finance or a related field of study • 2-3 years of experience in the commercial real estate sector generally or 1 years of commercial real estate valuation, asset management, or advisory experience • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience • Proficiency in excel modeling including designing large models, optimization and customization abilities, knowledge of advance excel concepts such as macros, pivot tables, power BI etc. • In-depth understanding of generally accepted valuation approaches: cost, market and income approach • Excellent presentation skills including proficiency with power point and other presentation tools • Ability to work on multiple assignments and manage ambiguity • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills • Experience working independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels • Demonstrated leadership, professional demeanor and strong client interaction skills • Must be flexible as relates to potential travel requirements due to client service projects Preferred: • State certified appraisal license(s) • CPA or CFA (including partial levels or pursuits) • Proficiency with Argus Enterprise preferably with certification.
