Role Overview:
FIDES Capital Partners, LLC is seeking an Intern/Analyst to work directly with the Director located in the firm’s office in Tampa, FL. The successful candidate will provide research and analytical support focused on both the firm’s Real Estate Advisory business as well as the origination and underwriting tasks for new acquisitions for the Investment business. Prepare and maintain databases and lists of real estate owners, investors, lenders and other critical third parties (brokers, attorneys, etc.). Research and summarize critical market data and industry trends for use in offering materials, pitchbooks and potential whitepapers. Research information on prospective investment targets, including: owner information, cost basis, encumbrances (liens), recent sales history and other asset-level details. Provide assistance to the Tampa Director and other Principals as needed in the underwriting, closing and real estate transactions. Primary responsibility includes inputting required data into underwriting models or MS PowerPoint presentations for review by the Director. Interact with brokers, borrowers, originators and third-party report providers regarding information and documentation required for the closing process as directed by the Tampa Director. We are not looking to hire for a full time position. We are looking for an individual who is eager to start a career in real estate. This position allows an individual to gain experience in commercial real estate, network with their co-workers, and gain exposure to the job requirements and responsibilities for various entry level positions within the real estate industry (investment banking, brokerage, acquisitions, etc.). This is an unpaid internship.
Job Responsibilities:
Market Research – This can be accomplished by searching via internet, phone and industry publications towards an on-going strategic information gathering initiative that fuels our business model.
Deal Analysis – Contributing towards the fundamental sourcing and analysis of real estate assets that may be required by our advisory assignments or related to our direct investments.
Pitchbook / Presentation Preparation – Assisting with the creation of analysis and content for client focused and general industry presentations.
Other Ad-Hoc Analysis – As required and under direction, prepare various financial analysis including, but not limited to: asset and portfolio level proformas, investor level return models and comparable rent/sale analyses.

Basic Qualifications:
• A desire to work in the finance industry and more specifically focused on commercial real estate. This is of utmost importance and will go a long way towards enjoying your experience with us.
• An outstanding academic record
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Strong interest and aptitude for finance principles
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Strong communications, multi-tasking and time management skills
• Candidate must be proactive, enthusiastic, team oriented and excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability and dedication to meet strict and aggressive deadlines
• Personal integrity, initiative and leadership qualities
Preferred Qualifications:
• Working towards a Bachelors or Master’s degree in economics, finance, accounting or related fields
• Past work experience (including other internships) in commercial real estate, investment banking or other analytical roles.
