Description
Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is looking for a reliable and precise AP Specialist to help them properly maintain payable information. The Accounts Payable Specialist will maintain current accounts and assist in invoicing functions. We are seeking an experienced candidate who can analyze expense reports to assign payments to the proper cost centers, work with vendors to resolve past due invoices and reconcile monthly statements with vendors within a specific industry. Responsibilities:
- Maintain petty cash accounts and log all outgoing disbursements
- Monitor all vendor payment agreements to find discounts that can be used to reduce invoice amounts
- Responsible for paying all sales tax on appropriate invoices and making a note of each tax payment made
- High Volume -100+ invoices a day
- Keep track of credits owed to the company and ensure all credits are properly applied to vendor payments
- Reconcile payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience in AP
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to learn quickly and work in fast paced environments
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Knowledge about accounting and management principles and Accounts Payable procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with computers, especially business solutions and bookkeeping software
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze information and processes
- Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships
- Multi-tasking ability
- Attention to detail
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
