Job Summary
Leasing Consultant compensation: Competitive Hourly Rate + Potential Bonus employment type: full-time The Leasing Consultant reports to the Community Manager and/or the Assistant Manager. The Leasing Consultant is responsible for all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins and lease renewals, including generating and handling traffic, leasing apartments, qualifying prospects, preparing lease documentation and completing move-in procedures in accordance with the company’s and the community’s established policies and procedures. Leasing Consultants provide high quality resident service and convey resident service requests to the Maintenance Technicians and other service associates. This position is also responsible for complying with all state, federal and/or local laws relating to Fair Housing. Some weekends and early evenings will be required. A strong background in customer service is extremely helpful. Computer literacy in MS Word, e-mail and a familiarity with the Internet required. As a Leasing Consultant, the responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Conducting outside marketing to include preparation of flyers, market surveys and report preparation. Greeting, showing/touring apartments to prospective residents and CLOSING THE SALE! Coordinate the application process. Ensure the condition of leased apartments prior to move-in, including a final inspection and walk through. Maintain prospect, traffic and leasing data. Provide excellent service to all residents, prospects and visitors to the community. Follow-up with residents throughout their lease term and assist with resident relations and resident retention.
