Full Job Description
Adara Communities is looking for a hard working, dedicated Maintenance Technician for our Tampa Woods property in Tampa, Florida.
As the Maintenance Technician you will be accountable for delivering on commitments to our residents, including quality move-ins, expedited service and resident satisfaction. You are responsible for the physical condition of the rental units prior to occupancy and for the general upkeep of the property interiors, exteriors and common areas of all buildings. You will be required to handle emergency calls, as necessary and provide support and rotate emergency calls with the Lead Maintenance Supervisor, when applicable. You will follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and follow up with residents after repairs are complete. You are responsible for completing tasks that ensure the community meets all safety standards and site appearance standards.
Job Requirement
- 2+ years of maintenance experience working in the apartment community industry is REQUIRED
- HVAC Certification is REQUIRED
- Must have experience with Plumbing, Electrical, Appliance Repair, Pools and General Maintenance
- Assist with completing service requests, make readies and upgrading apartments
- Assist with various projects as assigned by Lead Maintenance Supervisor
- Stable work history a PLUS
- High school diploma
- Must be willing to be on call per schedule and alternate schedule
- Must provide own tools and have reliable transportation
Working Environment/Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to reach with arms, hands and fingers; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell. Occasionally lifts, carries, positions,or lift 50 pounds individually and up to 100 pounds with assistance devices (dollies, hand trucks, additional persons). The working environment is typically in an outdoor setting, with an occasional need to leave the premises for business purposes.
- May work non-traditional hours, to include evenings or weekends in order to complete work. Employer may also require employees to attend company meetings, training programs and annual leadership conference; may require additional travel outside of assigned community.
- Property employees are required to comply with the company uniform policy. A copy of the uniform policy is provided on the first day of company employment.
