Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor in all areas throughout our community.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ experience in community management maintenance, other building maintenance or related trade. Renovation experience may be required for older properties built 10 or more years ago.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

  • Ensure all service requests and repairs are made correctly and in a timely manner
  • Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area
  • Assist service manager with monitoring inventory of parts and supplies at appropriate levels
  • Comply with all personnel management policies and procedures
  • Help service manager oversee completion of service requests in 48 hours or per community policy
  • Help service manager ensure staff is motivated and functions as an effective team
  • Maintain superior customer service relationship
  • Communicate effectively with residents, fellow associates, vendors and supervisors
  • Work with service manager to maintain effective preventative maintenance program
  • Work with service manager to adhere to budget guidelines
  • Assist service manager to maintain hazard communications program
  • Inspect grounds, buildings, and other community features as required to minimize liability concerns
  • Work with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure physical condition of community is maintained according to company operating and safety standards
  • Work with maintenance team to ensure excellent curb appeal at all times
  • Assist with turnkey operations if needed
  • Attend and participate in technical training programs to maintain personal skill level
  • Other tasks or duties as assigned by supervisor
